Delete your Brainam data

You can ask us to delete your Brainam account, specific data, or data we obtained through a connected Meta product (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp). Pick the option below that suits you.

1.Three ways to request deletion

Sign in to Brainam → Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion starts immediately.

2.What gets deleted

If you delete your entire Brainam account

  • Your profile, login credentials, and account settings.
  • All AI agents, training content, prompts, and uploaded knowledge files.
  • All conversations and agent run history.
  • Connected OAuth tokens and integration credentials (we also recommend revoking access from the third-party app).
  • Active BYOK subscriptions are cancelled (no further charges).
  • Unconsumed Chips (paid and promotional) are forfeited.

If you request deletion of Meta-sourced data only

  • Messages, profile data and metadata received via Facebook Pages Messaging, Instagram Messaging, or WhatsApp Business Cloud API.
  • Cached page IDs, account IDs, and integration tokens for the specified Meta account.
  • Your Brainam account remains active — only the Meta-sourced data is removed.

3.What we are required to keep

Some records cannot be deleted immediately because Indian law requires us to retain them:

  • Tax invoices and billing records — retained for 8 years under Indian tax law.
  • Security and audit logs — retained for 12 months for fraud detection and incident investigation.
  • De-identified aggregate analytics — retained indefinitely in a form that cannot be linked back to you.
  • Backups — live deletion is immediate, but encrypted backup copies are purged within 90 days.

4.Timeline

Acknowledgement: within 48 hours of receiving your request.

Completion: within 30 days. You will receive a reference number by email once deletion is complete.

Backup purge: within 90 days of completion.

If you do not receive an acknowledgement within 48 hours, please email grievance@brainam.ai directly.

By submitting, you consent to Brainam processing your request as described in our Privacy Policy. We will not share your details with any third party.

We will acknowledge your email within 48 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days.

7.Need help or escalation

If your request is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may escalate to our Grievance Officer, appointed under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021.
